Monica Chen is a recent Ithaca College graduate from Massachusetts. As an undergraduate, she was active in the Ithaca College chapters of Asian American Alliance and China Care Club, and she served as an organizer and designer for the Ithaca Pan Asian American Film Festival. Monica is an advocate for increased and more accurate representation of Asian Americans and Asian American communities in media and literature.
Monica received her bachelor of arts in writing with minors in integrated marketing communications and honors in May 2018. Through Sparks, she hopes to connect with a larger community of Asian Americans in the United States and to continue sharpening her writing skills.
